what a weekend. bolted out of work early and got home with enough time to tidy up my room before jetting off to sbc for the second game of the battle of the bay interleague series. the giants won 3-2, and they unveiled the statue of juan marichal. they raised the draw bridge in hoor of his weird leg kick wind up, and the entire ballpark gave him a standing ovation. it was awesome.
after the game, we went back to the house and got shitty. there were fireworks for some kfog show that we could see perfectly from the window above the bar. it was nice. i ended up getting pretty fucked up pretty fast, so when liz came over with a car and decided to drive us to the in n out at pier 39, i took it upon myself to talk shit out of the rear window. we had to make a rather quick exit out of in n out because half the guests of a senior prom were forming a lynch mob after i told someones date that "white wasnt her color" . i was just being honest. the truth hurts.
today i went to dinner at my cousins house with most of my relatives that live in the bay area. most of these people have/came from a lot of money. im hardly a child of the ghetto, but ive always had to work for whatever is mine, and i sure as shit dont have money now. its just so weird being around people that come from money because all they talk about is expensive restaurants they eat at and hotels they stay at. once they run out of places to brag about, theyre usually going over all sorts of celebrity gossip, usually highlighting where celebrities eat/stay when they vacation. i have absolutely nothing to offer the conversation, so i usually just sit there eating chips. i love them all to death, and they all mean the best, and theyve gave me plenty of helping hands time and time again, but man, i hope when i reach my forties/fifties, i have more to talk about than "how good the steaks are in argentina" or "which specialty grocer sells the most organic produce".
my real job starts tuesday. i cant fucking wait.
i got my bike. i took it in for a tune up. itll be up and running friday. i will be tearing up the city starting this weekend.
