I just added a thing to the "Drunks" Board. I thought it was pretty cool.
My truck's stand-by is getting moved from our House at Engine 20 to the Cop Shop down at the end of Douglas Blvd. I am SO sad. Not that the Cops are bad people to hang around with..... but let's face it..... It ain't a Fire station.
I work with cops And fire in my job. I love and admire both. But; no offense.... We work better with Fire.
Cops are their own thing.
I have so very much learned about Cops since starting this job. And lemme tell ya.... they ain't nothing like I thought they were before.
99% of the people I'd have beat the shit out of and thrown into the back of my car... they just let 'em roll on.
I freely admit that I personally don't have the gear to be in Law Enforcement......
I am so much more comfortable being in the fire side......
Hopefully; Our move will be temporary. I really want to be back hanging out in the Fire Station......

I have a friend who's a paramedic and she says that she kind of represents the middle between cops and fire fighters. She notices that ya'll are totally different creatures as well. Hope your move IS temporary and that everyone gets along in the meantime.
