Well, It's About Time!
Boston Metro, July 18, 2002: T police beat
Andew Station, 2:44 p.m
A woman reported being assaulted at Andrew Station. The victim said she as spat on by an unknown white male while on a bus. The victim stated the suspect was annoyed at the constant snapping of her bubble gum. When she wouldn't stop, the suspect spit on her. A search of the area turned up nothing.
Now, I can't condone the man for spitting on the woman, however I can say I often fantasize about backhanding gum snappers. Don't people realize how annoying the practice is?!? It would seem this woman did know just how annoying she was, yet continued snapping annoyingly away.
At my most cynical I wonder if gum snapping is a way (mostly) young women of color choose to annoy people. There, I typed something utterly sexist and anti-PC! However, I often wonder this exact question. Half of me wants to write a letter to the Editor of the Metro with an online link to a gum snappers survey. I really want answers, this has confounded me for far too long!

Yep, that's me, I'm the Miss Fuzzy Bunny. My boyfriend took the photo, his site is also linked from mine, like on photos/two.html The restraints are his, from Sexe Cite in Montreal where they were much cheaper than here in Boston. :-)
