the trip to nyc to see that uberawesome show for my anniversary has officially been canceled. superlame.
my mother in law came down this past weekend. she watched my son, while the husband and i went out with some of his work buddies for a few hours. upon our return, and her immediate departure, we discovered she had been going through the closet and the desk drawers in my husbands office area. a room she has absolutely no need or business being in.
needless to say we are beyond pissed.
she was supposed to be watching our son in our home the weekend of the show, but thats not going to happen now. we can't trust her to be alone there for a few hours, not to mention overnight.
gah! what to do.
this isnt the first time something like this has happened either. she has absolutely no respect for us whatsoever. im not even sure i want someone like that caring for my son. you know.
i mean. would you want someone who doesnt respect you, your wishes, and your privacy making decisions for your child?
but on the other hand, i want my little guy to be able to have a relationship with his grandma, as crazy as she may be.
my husband is 32. when is she going to start treating him like an adult?
i'm 25 and MY mom would never even think of doing something like that.
