So last night I went out to see George Clinton and the P-Funk Allstars and had an understandably good time. I flew solo and didn't see a single person that I knew at the show. You wankers missed one hell of a good time. I did, however, run into a couple of incredibly hot girls and managed to dance w/them for most of the show until their boyfriend's suddenly returned and pulled them away (oops ) Met a couple of the band members as they were strolling around through the crowd unnoticed...did the obligitory fist tap. After the show I went out to High Five's for a minute and chilled out while I drank some beers. Tried to locate the whereabout's of [MEMBER=MissBernie's] b-day party, but to no avail. Nobody was answering their phone, so I can only assume that they were all nice and sloshed by the time I started to call.
I went out and bought a couple CD's yesterday. Been listening to this group from D.C. called Reflux. I read a review on them and figured I'd check out the disc, and when I popped it in I was floored by how bad-ass they are. If you like heavy music, then I highly suggest checking this group out.
Already got my tix ready for Social D coming up next month on the 18th. I'm sort of bummed that they're not playing Newport, but then again, last time they played Newport it was packed to the brim w/people. I think playing at the larger venue will definitely accomodate the crowd thats gonna be there, but I'll miss the atmosphere that you get when you see a band like Social D at the Newport. A group called the Backyard Babies is opening up for them, which is surpising cause these guys are from Sweden. I think its awesome that I'll get to see em' live , as I pretty much counted out ever getting to see them perform. I just hope they put on a good show.
Other than that, its snowy as fuck and my garage door doesn't work...again. This seems to happen just before we get all the snow and its really starting to get on my nerves as the nicest thing about having a garage is that you don't have to worry about wiping snow off your car in the winter. Those pigfuckers better be out to fix it this week.
