Gots to confess that I've been feeling damn good today. Despite the shitty gray rainy day outside I've been easing my way through the bs I have to deal with on a daily basis. So why the uplifting attitude? hmmmm....I'm not saying a word.
Still need to get my shit together though. I wish I could quit work for a month to focus on finishing up my artwork that continues to linger in a state of constructive linework. I've got quite a few projects to complete actually....a 4'x5' oil painting of a Glock .9mm that needs a new background and coloring. I got a trunklid from a 70's era Mustang thats been sanded down and primed and has been begging to be airbrushed...I got this other piece of metal that looks suspiciously like a nosepiece for another 70's era car, possibly a Roadrunner that needs dusted, sanded, primed, sprayed, and clearcoated. Still need to finish a 2'x3' color-pencil drawing of an angel w/electronic cyborg attachements spawning from her body...and I got to really buckle down and finish this poster that I've worked off and on for over a year based on my hallucinogenic, digitized version of the end times...The Great and Final Illusion....other works I've planned but really don't know if I'll get to finish are a complete Tarot card set and a line of standardized playing cards...just w/stylized renderings of all the face cards...etc. Among all this there is about half a dozen unfinished b&w sketches I've done while at work...
SG is killin me man. My productivity seems like its been at 0....but I know this is not the case. I have managed to finish up a bunch of shit, mostly centered around customizing my ride. I installed some badass knight rider style lights under the grill and put on some custom vinyls- some of which I designed- onto the body over the weekend. Added some fog lights that are likely to blind any unsuspecting driver and beefed up the horsepower and torque a little so I can get those satisfying tire squeals in not only 1st, but 2nd and 3rd gears as well. Seeing as how it is a Blazer and not a sports car, I still need to do some work to it to help improve the performance a bit...hopefully I'll have it all done by the end of this summer.
After playing my new drumkit for awhile I've come to the realization that I'm gonna have to sell my old kit- partly to recoup some much needed $$$ and partly because I got no need for 2 kits right now. I'm gonna miss the old kit...it really served me well over the years. That and I'm sure its also done alot to pretty much ensure I'll need a hearing aid later in life. Just need to get some new heads for the current kit, and then I can start building up the electronics to tie in w/the acoustic drums like I've always wanted to do.
Yeah...I got alot of work ahead of me....I just want it all done right now so I can revel in what I've created....an unholy monster of imagery and noise to unleash upon an unsuspecting public.
