Been a minute since my last update, and for good reason. I have been busy on numerous projects, the most important one being trying to find a new job for myself. Regardless, I have engineered, and produced two full length audio albums by two different bands from Pennsylvania this past summer. Finished mastering on the first album this week for the band STEVE. It is a fun record and it turned out a little grungier than expected, which to me, is a good thing. Working through mixes for the second album by a group called Surrounded By Mice. This album is proving to be just as rockus as the last album I just finished, so all in all, I am happy to be the one shaping the sound for everything. Kudos to both bands being well rehearsed for the recordings, as this would be quite the challenge to mix and master with them living another state away.
Working through a massive art project as well. Finishing up inking an airbrush piece I started something like 15 years ago. I airbrushed a 20" x 30" poster and then wound up never going over any fine detail with permanent ink (as is my style). The pic didn't necessarily get shelved, as I scanned it and used it for the basis of the largest and most complex digital pic I have ever created The Great and Final Illusion, which is also the center piece of a 25' mural composed of 12 pictures I did to support my audio album of the same name (released December 2010. It is only a matter of time and money before I can do a proper print of the mural and have an official opening for the project). Anyways, once I finished on my saga of digital conquest I decided to return to the original piece and do it true justice by finishing what I had started out to do- define the existing structure with contrast and definition with the skillful use of permanent india ink. I am down to the final detail of the top third of this massive poster. I can assure you that, once complete, it will be scanned or photographed and uploaded to the site.
Until then, back to my many projects! I have a guitar, Mustang trunklid, lamp, old style vacuum cleaner, and some random metal front clip for a car all lined up to paint. On top of all that, I have a couple people waiting for tattoos to be drawn up as well as an art contest I wouldn't mind submitting an original piece for. Compounded on top of all that, I have a new album I want to record of my own material, plus an album with a group I am in. Maybe its a good thing I am unemployed! Now if only I could get some money for these things I do...or a big, fat lottery win. Whatever! I just want to stay creative...

norritt:
did you used to be vectrex?
fusionface:
Yes, I did. And I totally neglected SG for a long while. Only recently have I found I might be updating on it again.
