Damn! My vacation was soooo nice. OMG I'm feeling so much better after spending some quality time relaxing with my babydoll at the beach. Some fun in the sun is exactly what the doctor ordered. I have to say, it is nice to be back home, but a certain part of me still wants to be chilling back at the beach, listening to the sound of bikes rumble by...ah, the sweet sound of motorcycles. We saw so many amazing bikes...for some reason, I find myself longing to own a chopper.
Anyways, a lot of very cool things happened over the course of the past week and a half. Friday before we left my girlie
Ap0cAlYpSe Me0w shot a set for SG, which I'm excited to see. Unfortunately, I couldn't go as my ass was stuck at work (booooooo). She came back from the set shortly after I returned from work looking something like Darryl Hannah from Blade Runner. It was sort of funny....I suggested she should make that the theme of her next set. Friday night we didn't do much except go to Cinci and back to drop our friend Amber off at home. Needless to say, after the drive, we got back sort of late and crashed until late the next day.
Saturday we went to HellCity and met up with alot of people. It was nice to see everyone. I got to hang out with alot of people I haven't seen in quite some time, notably DAMON_SHADOWS, Loe, & PUNKNITEMIKE. It's been so long since I've seen some of these people that I almost forgot I was part of the site. I wound up getting some cool shirts and added some nice cards to by tattoo shop business card collection, however, I didn't get any fresh ink. I've been jonesing to get some new work done, but I didn't want to get all tatted-up and then have to worry about getting sun, sand, & salt in it while at the beach. No worries, though. One thing about tattoos is there's always more time to get new ones.
We wound up staying until the festival closed for the evening, and then going to Hound Dog's to get pizza. The gameplan was to start driving around 3:30am so that we could get an early start on the highway. It worked out nice, as we went and got things situated after eating and got on the highway around 4:00am or so. Driving out to South Carolina wasn't bad. Lacy just missed hitting a deer somewhere in West Viriginia, and I had to endure a few patches of rain and hail, but nothing so horrible that I had to stop driving. Unfortunately, Lacy did wind up getting a speeding ticket on our way there. Fucking $180 ticket for speeding- ridiculous. However, it didn't ruin our evening. After we got to the hotel and got settled in, we went out to this biker bar called Melons where I somehow managed to blow $100 on booze and wings. The place seemed like my kind of bar, with bikers burning rubber in the parkinglot outside and waitresses walking around in bikinis and leather chaps. I never would have expected to drop $100 just trying to eat and get my drink on. But whatever, it was fun. We met some interesting people too.
We spent the next few days hanging out, playing miniature golf, eating some damn good food, watching the bikers cruise uo and down the strip, and generally having a good time. We managed to find a hole on this putt-putt course that looked exactly like a vagina- it was too fucking funny.
We didn't get to spend alot of time at the beach until the last 2 days we were there. The weather was cool the first few days, but by the last 2, it was sunny and warm- perfect weather for playing on the beach. I saved Lacy from diving belly first into a jellyfish that was floating close to shore....it looked pretty nasty. Later we saw one out in the water that was twice as large. If there's one thing I'm fucking scared of when it comes to sealife, its fucking jellyfish. I don't care so much about sharks, barracuda, coral, or anything else thats just as dangerous in the sea, but jellyfish freak me the fuck out.
The day before we left we ate at the Sea Captain's House. This was easily the best seafood I've ever had in my life. I almost don't even want to eat seafood again unless its from that place. Add to that, the spectacular italian we had the night before, and the mexican we had the day we left. The food was great. I'm fat.
The drive back was somewhat uneventful, except for the semi truck driver that was a complete fucking asshole. I swear this guy wanted me dead. We hit a real heavy patch of rain on the highway through Virginia, in a section of very curvy hills, and this fucking prick gets right up my ass and turns his fucking brights on. I'm driving slow as I can barely see and I'm afraid of losing traction on the curves. All 3 lanes are blocked by other semis or motorhomes, so its not like I'm gonna be able to go anywhere, and this asshole gets within 2 or 3 feet of ramming the back of my truck on purpose. I've never been so tense while driving, not even during the course of rolling my truck down the highway when I wrecked over a year ago. Goddamn I hope that fucker dies a horrible, slow, painful death on the highway.
Anyways...
There's so much to write about that happened during the trip. I'm actually getting tired of typing. It was a great trip, and I'd love to go again. It was a dissapointment to have to come back to dreary, cold Ohio. However, I spent the rest of my vacation relaxing at home, which was nice. Last night I drove down to see Lacy and watch Sopranos with some friends. We all ate spaghetti and had a nice, chill Sunday evening. After everyone left we watched TV for a while before retiring to bed, where we, quite frankly, had some damn good sex. I love my baby so much. I'm glad I took the time to drive out and spend the last day of my vacation chilling with the girlie.
I got alot of good pix from my vacation, which I plan on posting as soon as I get them resized. Until then, I'm off to tame the savge beast known as my stomach and watch the really bad remake of The Amityville Horror (I regret paying any sort of money for this movie)
Adios.
