wow. had my first real day off since my pet young'un was a-birthed. meaning i had a whole morning to sleep in and a whole afternoon to dick around. watched a forgein movie that i didn't like at first (sex y lucia) but then it evolved into a interesting psycho-drama through it's mid-way and refreshingly had a somewhat happy ending as opposed to most european films i see. this is a pretty bawdy film, so if you like a generous helping of nudity and large doses of sex(scenes) doled out liberally throughout this might be for you. there are so many sex scenes in this film i first thought it was some uber-horny date film or something, but by the resolution and closing of the second act it turned out to be a totally different animal.....one far removed from the date flick and quite on the fringe of weepy-eyed chick flick and horrowing psychological drama
then i went to a record store(end of an ear) because i haven't in a long time and picked up the "new" melvins album and a ornette coleman vinyl re-issue and a old john coletrane lp.
unfortunate for me i do not grok the melvins/lustmord collaberation. you can definately file this under: needs more listens catagory, but my hearts not into repeat spins right now because a good buddy of mine is having a b-day in one week. he is a big melvins fan and loves vinyl records. so i think my loss will be his gain as this will make an excellent present/addition to his record collection
i think i'm happy enough with the jazz records i bought. i always feel there just aren't enough in my collection, which is kinda why i stepped out today.
