i find it amusing how i'll stumble over some odd tidbit of a poem and for some inexplicable reason it seems to fit with whatever i may be polishing up guitar wise. some of these are a decade old! i kid you not! and now for some reason these little written trifles manifest and serve the purpose they were intended. better late than never.
i suppose i'll share this particular one i came across today. here it is as written:
now we dine on bitter fruits from deeds long sown. and the table is weighted with a banquet of contempt. and as i chew the fat, i wonder if i've ever dreamt when i slept. or, if i really was just dead, and waiting for an angel to breathe life into me. and as i chew the fat of the dish that makes me, i think of the drought. this dry bone called a skull.
a bit out of tune with my current sentiments. definitely written at a much angstier time. but it suited the arrangement and music perfectly.
