I am having an awesome week...went climbing last nite, and have started to do that again on a regular basis.
Loads of fun, and a good workout for the upper body.
weather is turning to crap on and off, but living in SF makes up for it. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon! hahaha
I've torn down the motor in my Ducati, after I bent a valve the other day..after a bearing seized and broke a cam belt. for shame. oh, well, it gives me a chance to get in and redo the motor for some hot rodd goodness.
I have 2 weeks to go to my next race, lets see if I can get it done right without any added drama or issues.
I was at Reno/Fernley raceway this last weekend for 2 days of track, and it was one of the best trackday weekends I've had in a long time. Good friends, good riding, one minor lowside and i fixed the bike during lunch and went back out on it. Had a really good session of dicing with one of my teammates and we pushed the envelope in every corner, showing each other wheels and trying to stuff each other in corners...It was by far one of the best track sessions i've had. RFR is about 3 1/2 miles long, and it took me 4 laps to finally get around him by outbraking him on the back straight into a very tight decreasing radius left hander. the lap before i went in hot and was braking so hard, and downshifting at the same time, that the rearend was squirrley and shaking all over, and then the front end started doing that, and i'm trying to keep it as straight as possible as the handle bars are shaking like crazy...hahaha, it was the coolest.
Watching my trackmate race back and forth and me pushing her to the limits, and watching her fight for every corner was the best and most exciting part of riding with her. She's come a long way and is kicking ass out there.
to all the haters. a big ole FUCK YOU!!!
