I have a love cliches
Well, not love, but more a love hate relationship.
Lets start with the example of words, just WORDS. Take a word, something very descriptive (like cyborg, or Brangelina) and just break the word apart. Each individual part of the word makes it up. the combined effects of which form the word, the seperate parts make the word, well, make sense. The reason I use this as an example is that you have used the word more than once, but never really LOOKED at it.
Cliches are VERY similar. For years this tidbit of wisdom or whatever you want to call it are pounded into us by all different kinds of sources (Sitcoms did it for me). It gets to a point where when any sort of cliche is mentioned we just passive aggresively just mutter in our heads "blah blah blah heard it before" I mean its the very definition of cliche in the first place. Now in the last year ive fallen into this relathionship with cliches. Its like being given a tool and not really knowing what to do with it. But ive FINALLY found uses for them. I find myself quietly repeating them to myself like a mantra. My reaction when I re-evaluate these ancient of phrases is a genuine "holy shit! These make sense! I sort of laugh at the fact Ive always just ignored them. Its like finding something awesome while cleaning your room. But thats about the end of the love part, here comes the hate.
Its strange when I say them to myself too, its like an akward sort of "yes you were right, I was wrong. PLEASE dont rub it in" Like universe is screaming "I told you so, dumbass". It sort of Illuminates my ignorance in the general sense of things, but hey! You learn something new everyday
NOTE: I wrote this, came back to read it, im sure it doesnt make much sense, mental diarreha really, I need some sleep, I can write coherently, I swear
