Fall is here, which means that once again the Words of House Stark ring in our minds. To help prepare, watch a snowball fight in Paris more than 120 years ago, filmed by the aptly named film pioneer Louis Lumiere and cleaned up by today's pioneering technology.

I'm not sure which is more amazing. How we can now clean up such footage so well, or the original innovations that allowed us to see it at all, or that it's now been so long that people can watch film of their great-great-grandparents' time. Astounding. All of it.
