ok so i went and saw boat trip today and i also saw basic. i am a pretty bad judge of movies cause there are very few movies i hate. basic was kind of week and boat trip was midly funny. i did enjoy the female lead in boat trip though. she wore quite a few see thru tops.
movies i am looking really forward too are: matrix 2 & 3, bad boys 2, hulk(kinda), league of extrodniary gentlemen, and xmen 2. i am keen to see what they will do as far as special effects for matrix. i loved bad boys 1 and am looking forward to martin lawrence and will smith team up.
my weekend was mellow really. went out to eat with andy on friday. went to the beach and a comedy show on saturday. my favorite joke of the night: alot of people ask me "hey, why are you stabbing me." sunday my heterosexual life partner got second place in a comedy competion and i hung out briefly with a girl i am intrested in. not really sure how it went but she did say to call her.
i never really did post too much about cinequest. well i did go to the opening night gala thing. where they played a movie and then had an after party at blakes steakhouse. the opening night movie was "movie hera" and it was good. basically this guy thought his life was a movie and he had an audience. he also had a love intrest, side kick and villian. so he would talk to the camera alot or his "audience" as he called it. it was very funny. then the director and some of the producers did a q&a afterwards. then we headed to the after party at blakes and it was alright. they did have some tasty cream puffs though. i also saw this gay guy named david there who worked at united artists for a bit. he got fired though after he yelled at the manager and hit her. she was ok though cause he didn't hit her very hard.
my first day of volunteering was on a friday and it was hectic. stuff was going wrong and customers were getting annoyed. you think after 13 years, cinequest would have their shit down packed. i got to see james woods and he was so funny. he had lots of witty stories and was just a very friendly all around guy. i saw quite a few movies at the festival this year. ones that stood out were bitter jester, movie hero, and 100 mile. 100 mile was the closing night movie and it is about this guy who gets set up by his supposed friend and cheats on his wife. then the crazyness ensues. every night there was some after party at some bar and i went to just about everyone. the best one by far i think was the metro vip party at the agenda. free drinks and lots of people. i met quite a few directors and actors at the parties. i also saw a girl that i went to elementary/jr. high with. that was kind of weird cause she was like 5 years behind me. overall this was the best time i ever had at cinequest. lots of drinking, partying and good times.
i have been listening to this phish song "round room" over and over. man i love it.
courage!

This journal entry is the longest I've ever bothered to actually read. xoxo
