So I've been having this pain in my heel for like 4 years now. (It's amazing how the lack of health insurance can make you tolerate shit.) I finally get a Dr appointment. He tells me that my foot is almost completely flat..no arch...that is bad. I could see it on the x-ray of my foot. Almost so flat you could put a ruler under it. He also says that surgery would be the best answer (but I can't since I have no ins.). The DR said that he would have been very surpised if I hadn't had some kind of pain for most of my life in the foot (which I can't remember if I did). The surgery could be one of two approaches...cut the ligament which is too tight and that is what is causing the pain OR put a huge screw in my foot to basically force it to have an arch. OUCHIE! He said the best time to do these operations woulda been when I has a teenager. Too bad this shit didn't hurt then...I had insurance then. Well that's about it for me.
