Ello there lovies!
I have been reading The Host by Stephanie Meyer. It has been amazing seems i have not been working. I am sure some of you recognize the name or the Author. They also made a movie out of the book because the author Stephanie Meyers wildly popular Twilight. I loved the movie and i am a huge twilight fan the books had me on an emotional roller coaster while i was reading i really related to Bella. Any who we aren't talking about that though.. The lead actress i absolutely love Saoirse Ronan is gorgeous and i am always captivated by her. I haven't watched the movie in awhile which is good for my reading.(It keeps me from fully know whats going on) But i have been on the normal emotional roller coaster that books provide me with. I am very empathetic so i really get caught in the state of mind as my characters so if i stop at a chapter and my main character is upset i am upset. So with that i usually spend a few days cooped up and read the whole book bouncing from one emotion to the next. I love the entertainment that it provides me with but most of the time im stuck in my head when i read. So that been me the past few days and even now.
But i have put that all on pause to give you guys an update with the hot springs!
So the drive there was half city and half country roads i noticed how travel on city roads is so much quicker then country roads. Which to some may be a given but i had forgotten what it was like to travel not just on highways and in the city. When i was younger my family always went boating frequently so i was always out in nature. I was used to it then and i love being around water it makes me feel complete. But since i have moved to the city i have forgotten how much i loved it. So now i will be getting out more. But any who back to the trip up we traveled up Mt. Hood i do believe and there were tons of parks like state park types. Then on top of that the road we were traveling on was next to a river that started out a Green teal and then got clearer as we got further up the mountain. When we finally arrived at our destination we still had to hike a mile or so to the hot springs. But it didn't disappoint the path was easy to walk along but i was surrounded by greenery and fallen trees. I love seeing nature do its thing it always amazes me i get so caught up in day to day life and for nature just to go on like that it is truly amazing! The farther we got up the path i started to hear water so we decided to investigate. I am so glad we did because i think i found my Favorite place in the world. Sadly i didn't feel very photogenic so i didn't get a lot of pictures of me. I took more video then anything and have yet to combine it all together.
But In this place we saw three salamanders!! They were so cute they were each in their own little bubble guy in the rock. One was hugging a plant just hanging out at the top of the water. Then the next one seemed very interested in us he was peeking up at us with his silver eyes. Then the next one my Fiancee caught and it was so freaking cute. We showed my roomie and she squealed and was so adorable she has the most adorable reactions to things. When we got to the hot springs itself there were several other buildings around it. The there was a huge tree that had been cut down it was laying right next to its huge stump. Wait i have a picture ill just show you!
Isin't that amazing! I could stand in it, it was huge!
The hot springs itself had about 5 private tubs and then 4 community tubs. We chose the community tubs this time. So my pictures aren't too steamy. I really didn't take too many while i was there i just soaked. I did take a video though. But the uploader guy wont let me put it on here. (I will upload it after this) Next time i will probably choose one more private so i can get better pictures! But here are some i took threw out the adventure!
Over all i had such a blast on this trip! I will for sure be going back and highly suggest it if you are ever in Oregon.
now.. my book is calling my name again. So with that i hope something wonderful happens to you today. Something that makes you smile <3
With love
