Loved this last episode of the Walking Dead. Anyone else watch that show?? <3
So just to vent for a second;
I drove through Kalamazoo this last week on my way back to Ann Arbor, and I have to say, I was shocked. Albeit, I just stopped at Subway for lunch, but the table next to me was filled with catty young girls who spent the whole time complaining about other people. It actually made me sick. It was like nothing could be good enough in their eyes - fat? skinny? they hate you. Too dumb? They hate you. Too smart? They hate you. I felt bad for the girls they must go to high school with. It must be torturous to be so insecure with themselves that anything different from their lifestyles scares them so much.
There. Now that that's over with, time for a happier note. Definitely loved Madison! Ate some great sushi and enjoyed some nice, low-key bars. Would love to go back

I have an army friend who is from Kalamazoo, but haven't talked to him since 1998(?). We served together in working for US Nato forces in 1969. He had nothing but good things to say about Kalamazoo. But again, that was over 40 years ago.
I've heard Ann Arbor is lovely.
