i had some laser surgery on one of my eyes yesterday. not for cosmetic improvement, but rather for a retinal tear. hopefully what they did "took" and i won't have to do it again (or something worse) in a week.
you know that pain you experience when you accidentally look into the sun? well, imagine having a green laser shot in to your eye, dozens of times over a five to ten minute span... with no way of closing your eye... every shot literally burning the back of your eyeball... each stab more painful than the last...
yeah, it was a real riot.
the worst part is, i have lost count of the number of times i have had to go through this procedure over the years. twenty times maybe? probably more. not to mention the two separate occasions when they pulled an eyeball out of my head to attach a silicone buckle to it. well, technically three, since they botched the first one and had to do it again two days later.
don't even ask about the cataracts.
did i mention my eyes suck?

It was a kinda boring Oscar I'd say... have you seen A mighty wind? I love it. I just saw Spinal Tap by the way.
