...I didn't think Hitchhikers was DREADFUL - it was just - there. Another adaptation that didn't need making. Then I watched Star Wars the day after and was similarly un-moved.

Here's a tip, I don't know if you've picked up on this: there is a feature called "Bookmark as interesting." Use it to mark people, comment on their journal a couple of times, and then request their friendship. It works better. My boyfriend is a newbie, too, and he gets sad that he doesn't have alot of friends yet, but it just takes time.

As for the whole moving to New York thing, I have no advice. But, yes, the apartments there are ridiculously expensive.
