This is the best Saturday that I've had in a long time. Going into the weekend, i thought i'd be super broke. I don't get paid until Monday and my bank account has been overdrawn since Thursday. I was online this morning, checking to see how overdrawn i actually was, and boy was I suprised to see that my check was already there!
YAAAY! It is a beautiful day here in the Bay Area, and now I have some fun money to play with. I took the kids to Toys *for* Us and bought a bunch of stuff to play with in the backyard.
I bought a bunch of bubbles, some of which we craked open in the parking lot of the toy store. We turned my car into the 'bubble mobile'. I had all the windows doen and drove back to my moms while both kids were blowing a frenzy of bubbles. Sure, people looked, some people waved, one guy with a freshly washed Expedition gave me the stink-eye. We had a blast.
Right now, I am sitting under the umbrella and watching them play in this water toy called 'the Wigglin Waterpillar' It hooks up to the hose and has all these little tubes that shoot water out in all directions. They're soaked, I am soaked, it's great.
I feel a little bit like a jerk, because I keep wondering if with all this play, if they'll go to sleep early tonight.
Anyway, things are good. I am pretty stoked that we're having a good day. My kids are awesome and they deserve it.
