Good god, has no one respect for those they take pictures of? Todays publish is horrible these pictures are out of focus, grainy, and powerless. I take better pictures just around the house with the fam quick-shots. Whats with all the old same comments to every new set here guys. Thinking about something here, if you want to make comments to someone about there looks use not only tact but a voice of the evolved. We are no longer cave dwellers and have a complex vocabulary. Use it, avoid me Ug you sex now yeah, lame. IF you like the set why do you like it? How did it move you (avoid the body parts) really. Not that this should be true for all. Some of the girls here seems to enjoy those comments but I feel that you should know them a bit before making those type of comments.
Maybe, maybe Im simply off key here but when someone tells you a movie suxs done you want to know why? I ask, or if someone says they loved a movie; well I want to know why. How did it move you, what didnt you like. If you cant answer me then you probably should keep your opinions to yourself. oah well, I just didnt like Tom Cruz I think hes gay Im sor5ry thats not a good reason, least not for me. Firstly you dont know Tom Cruz, when you spend a weekend taking shots and talking with him about everything under the sun then, yeah come tell me you dont like him. Try to express yourself with meaning here. Come on, if your trying to attract a woman you might just try talking first. Christ, and not that I find this a forum for such activities either.
I really doubt that a meaningful relationship would be formed here. Sure friends and all but I personally just dont find it, well, I dont see it happening. Be Realistic, many of these women Im sure have soutters pounding on there doors they dont need it in email, or harassing comments.
Now that I have expressed myself thoroughly there, lets go back to taking poor pictures. Ok guys if your using a camera in the caliber of the Cannon Rebel or above please set your speed to 400 or less. This will help reduce the grain produces by the pictures. If you find it hard to capture the moment without your shutter staying open for some time try adding light. There are ways to always get the picture you want with the lighting you are looking for without letting your models express the freedoms, sorrows, bondage, life, or love of the concept shoot.
Remember you models have faith that you will make this art. Its an expression Im sure most are not looking to simply have pornographic pictures taken. If thats all they wanted any dime store photographer can take those well. Try a few of these concepts. If your model has the idea for the set try walking through it with test shots of lighting. Follow them, let them lead you. If this is your concept try walking them through what you would like to express. Show them where you want to go with this. When they have full knowledge of what to expect and where to take this you can bring life back into your session.
This all helps for lighting, the proper planning will allow you to design your mood, environment, and tone. Express yourself and let your vision bee scene to you voyeurs. Dont be afraid to do the scene more then once. I have done many private scenes several times simply because I was not comfortable with all the angels. Even with proper planning you may come to a new idea or concept. And keep the models informed. Let them know what you are doing. It does not hurt to tell them hey, I dont feel right about the whole set Dont be afraid to brake for lunch or dinner.
And lastly for you aspiring photographers, the models are off limits before, during, and after the shoot. There is a mood and a line that should not be crossed. When you see enough pictures you will see where a set can have its mood removed simply by the look you will receive.
For example, when a model is making love to the camera and showing it her inner desires you will see who they are looking at. As a photographer you need to be your camera, always looking, watching, capturing the moment of rapture. Your model should express themselves freely and willingly to the camera, they must sucum to its will. You are the tool,[no not that one] the driving force that allows that camera to bring these moments the us the Voyeurs. The more enthralled we are, the more riveting and complete your set has become.
For those of you with college experience at least with a BofA remember how to write. For those of you without this experience ill enlighten you. When you tell a story it must sequential. If it is not your reader will become easily lost, every step of your story should be laid out. When your set is done there should be nothing missing from the story told. Ill use one example here
Bella set Jilted Number 18 is where it ends. Our story unfolds the bride is happy and awaiting her groom. She is becoming inebriated and taunted. When will her arrive, am I stressing? She begins to tease herself. Something happens, what? She is happy again, shes crying. Something wrong? No groom? There was no transition. We see sadness, sorrow an image portrayed so clearly. Had these been individual pictures not part of a set we would have known with the name what had happened. But this was not a singular picture. This was a set to tell a story. Now before the tears we should have had an opening. A clock showing very late or a few shots looking at the phone waiting for a call but instead we broke the story. Why is this?
