Goddamn it's been FOREVER
Well, I'm happy to report that things have been much much better since my last post. The panic attacks have, for the most part, subsided, although I still have slight trouble with them on occasion. My dad is doing fantastic also, so that's a huge relief. November brought my cousin's wedding (she married a guy from England and has since moved there with him, he is an amazingly nice fellow), a wild bachelorette party that included me consuming more alcohol than ever before, Thanksgiving, and so forth. Christmas was good as well, and also New Year's. The family drama has mostly ceased since my cousin moved to England, but her daughter (my cousin I'm closest to) has moved to Indiana, and while not that far away, I don't see her very often now nor do we talk quite as much, and she's having some issues that she needs advice on, so we are trying to point her in the right direction.
Other than that, the second semester of my sophomore year has begun, and I have to say I really like my classes for the most part. I have an amazing philosophy professor who is making the subject I plan to major in much more understandable, and he's quickly becoming one of my favorite teachers. The only subject I can't stand is french, mostly because I've taken spanish for five years, and trying to reprogram my mind to speak with a whole new vocabulary is not as easy as previously thought. It will be a challenge but I'll survive it somehow.
There's also a guy in the picture, which is nice. We've been talking for over a year now, but it probably won't be official for another few months. Just kind of complicated, but he's pretty great, so I'm excited to see where this all goes
I have a much better outlook on life this year so far. I'm far happier, a HUGE change from last year at this time. I'm trying to enjoy life all that I can now, and I'm taking care of myself more healthwise now too. A longtime friend of mine that I thought I had burned bridges with some years ago recently messaged me via myspace, and i'm in awe of the direction his life has taken. He sounds like he's done pretty well for himself from what I've heard so far. We're still catching up, but it just feels so amazing to know things are okay between us again, because he was my first friend ever
That's about all for now, just trying to catch up with everything on here, and though I've said it before a million times, I'm back again and I'll be around! Hope everyone is doing well, thanks for the well wishes and the holiday messages!
