This weekend was great. I went up to, let me get this right this time, River Ridge, near Harrahan. My brother gave me shit for saying it was in Kenner. My sense of direction sux. Anyways. We (Max my brother, Fumie, future sis-n-law, and his daughter, Abby, went shopping and went to the Celebration in the Oaks, in New Orleans City Park. I was impressed it was smaller than most years but it felt like it was better. The feel of the whole place was sooo christmasy. I hadn't felt christmas in awhile. They had this huge train set of the G.N.O. area with all sorts of landmarks handmade and painted. The tracks were placed where the trains actually pass...it was really done well. There was a laser light show set to christmas music. Supposed to be a living nativity but perhaps it got too damn cold for Jesus. The narrarated light show with Cajun Night Before Christmas was great for the kids. Years back there was ice skating that's the only way this year could've been topped. Usually they also have carriage rides and you can drive-thru the park, but they was all closed due to Kat. One of the trees were decorated with pigs w/ wings and a sign said: When will Katrina get out spirits down?? when Pigs Fly!!! The sense of recovery was everywhere, especially in the artists galleries where most proceeds went to benefit Katrina recovery efforts.
Went up there Friday when I got off of work and stayed til' sunday morning. Had a great time as always with Abby. My Brother is fun to be around in small doses. Well, that was my weekend. Take care everybody.
Oh yeah, by the way I got another tattoo check out my pics...I got my boxing kangaroo!

Being single around the holidays does get to be a lonely endeavour. I am not a big fan of Christmas, due to childhood trauma, haha. I actually hope this year turns out to be better than most, and it has so far, because I just met someone who is incredible. As for your friend from myspace, the one in the reserves, be careful with military chicks. We are a bunch of hardasses. J/K I bet that tat didn't feel to good. My friend got one on her sternum, I can't immagine what that would feel like, oh yeah I can, it must be like typewriter, am I right, only a hell of a lot worse. We have this local thing for Christmas here too. Christmas in the Park, where people just go after dark to look at all of the Christmas lights. I haven't been to see this display since I have moved here, like I said, I am not a fan of the season. Maybe someday. I hope you have a good Christmas and New Year if I don't hear from you.
