A year ago today I met Speedphreak.
Story goes something like this:
I went into a shoe store to buy shoes. I tried them on and paid for them. Once walking around in them, decided I needed the other size, so I went back to the store to exchange them. The girl behind the counter says to me, "you'd be perfect for my friend Bill". I just smiled and was flattered. She was cute and she looked like someone I would hang out with. I asked her about her friend Bill, and didn't really get much information, just a few bits here and there. She went on to say "he'd love it if you'd give him a call". Like I said, she looked like someone who I would hang with, so, I said "I'll give you my number and tell him I'll give him a phone conversation". Now I was planning to move in like 2 weeks so I could live with my parents and finish school, so the last thing I was looking for was some guy to take up time and make things difficult, or worse, break my heart. But hey, just because I gave her my number didn't mean he was going to call. I think I bought the shoes on a Friday, and he called me on Monday, and we went out on Tuesday for Vague's birthday, and I had my best date ever!!!
...and now I'm learning how to jump out of airplanes, which I had wanted to do even before we met, and after this Physics class this summer, I'll be officially graduated, then I'll move in with him. Sounds good to me.
Happy Birthday Vague
