So, another workout today. I did a fitness evaluation(not really what I would call one, but): 12 minutes on the treadmill as fast as you could go...I did a fast walk...my rating=very poor. Hey, I'm just starting out with this and I kicked ass as far as I was concerned...Then the ole sit and reach (lame) and the hand squeezing thingy(don't know how I rated on that). I'll do the same thing at the end of the semester and compare, plus it was worth some points.
Did all the weights and stuff, and then tried a bit of the bike with the moving handles back and forth. Old school Schwin for sure!!! About 2 hours again. Seems how long it takes. Need to increase time on treadmill, up the weights(which I'm noticing all ready I am having to up them).
So, to build muscle, is it that I want to lift larger weights and less reps???
Because right now I'm doing like say 45lbs 10 reps 2 sets of something
Should I be doing like my maxium weight and like 3 reps?
Yeah, it says it's a class, but really doesn't help you that much.
What I'm finding is that I want to stay longer and longer. I need to make more time to get more things in. And I'm hardly sore, which surprises me. Although I am doing a proper warm up and cool down etc... I wonder if that helps? My cardiovascular health(as stated above) is what really needs work!!
This is just the thing to get me moving!! I'm hoping that this will make my body need to work out and that I will continue to do so even after the class is done with.
So, yep, better mood, but currently tired. The Physics class ends at 8:30 and I didn't leave until 9pm, so long day, and inbetween the workout was work, then was class.
