7. What is one of your favourite simple meals from your childhood that you still love today?
-
When I was in grade 3, we had a couple weeks of cooking we did as a class. Very simple recipes that I still cook to this day: Bannock, Banana Milkshakes, Doughnuts made from Pilsbury buns, etc.
My favourite one was French Toast. Once I learned to make it, I experimented until I got them just perfect. I make them when I’m in a simple food mood. In fact, after my home got flooded, torn apart, condemned, boxed up, burgled, renovated, and unpacked, French Toast was the very first thing I made when I moved back in.

So, after all the talk about French Toast lately, I just HAD to go get some today. I tacked it onto my meal, which was too much food for me to eat. I packed up some to take home. It was breakfast themed, with an omelette, but not quite scrambled eggs, @fimbis and @kiley . 😉

I like to make it simple (eggs, milk, sugar, salt, bread and butter), and then eat it plain. If I do add anything, it could be sprinkled granulated sugar and butter, or berries and whipped cream, or maple syrup.
And then I eat the French Toast. I eat it real good, @dicentra. 😏
