Who is the first Suicide Girl that inspired you to join the site?
(Yeah, I know it's an older homework, but I wanted to talk about it. Sorry, not sorry.)
Quick answer: @sammiii
Long answer: I first heard of Suicide Girls back in 2003, when I was DJ’ing at a Gentleman’s Club (The Paramount) in Vancouver, BC, Canada. It was just getting started, but a lot of the ladies I worked with were all abuzz about this new site they could be part of that allowed them to seek fame as alternative models. Dancers, waitresses, bartenders, models, online SW, escorts and even a few professional porn stars, all talked to me with excitement about this new … thing … that Missy had created. I’ve been aware and parallel to Suicide Girls since nearly the beginning.
I would follow it on social media, read articles about it, meet women who were interested about it, and so on. Apparently, I was also an acquaintance with someone who went on to become a Hopeful after I knew her: @hazzard .
But it wasn’t until 2013 that I started following SG on Facebook. The first ad I ever shared to try to win a free membership was a duo photo of @damsel and @kemper , then again in 2014 of @riae , and again in 2014 of @lioness . (Yes, I went back and checked.)
There was so much temptation to join, but I eventually stepped away and put it on the back burner. I’d still see the promotions on Facebook, and I would look, but I never did anything about it.
Then I saw a photo that Suicide Girls posted of @sammiii in 2020, and I immediately signed up and paid membership. I found her completely enrapturing and I had to learn more about her! I would log on and peruse some of SG, but always checked to see if she had posted anything. After a while, she left the site and modelling for very good reasons, but I was still gutted.
I contemplated letting my membership expire and leaving. I was so tempted to. I just kept listlessly browsing through the site. Then I saw a gorgeous new Hopeful that drew me to her like a magnet and we became good friends. I threw in support behind her and started making posts on SG and interacting with more models and becoming involved in the community a lot more. That Hopeful was @nilin.
All my new energy and interactivity got me approaching people more often. Which eventually led me to meet my first hopeful in person, my friend @darcydiamond, who I have made it my mission to help turn Pink. She deserves it more than anyone else I know.
I have gotten to know members, hopefuls, models and photographers, to varying degrees, from a casual annual “Hi,” to daily messages, to a serious relationship. I know that I am nowhere near done my journey with SG, but I really welcomed the chance to look back and see the path that I got here on. You are all amazing, sexy, and fascinating. I love the people in this community, I see so much beauty on and in the people here that I just wanted to say thank you to my friends and future friends for being here and for reading this.
