Vacation part 1: Mexico City
Early September, I went to Mexico city. Thanks to Hotwire we had booked one of the best hotels in town, in Polanco, for 30% of its regular price.
So the 1st night, we hung out in the area and went to the bars and nightclubs where rich people go -- because of the lifestyle, architecture of the buildings and weather, we had the weird feeling to be in Paris. Other nights we went to Zona Rosa where we found some great bars and restaurants.
In terms of sightseeing, highlights were the pyramids and the anthropology museum.
Adventure-wise, I managed to get lost by myself in some shady neighborhood (and I dont speak Spanish) but the most exciting moment was, without a doubt, being arrested by some corrupt cops for no reason at 4am in Zona Rosa. Those fuckin crooks put me in the back of their car and my friend spent 30mn negotiating with them to let me go. They ended up going through our pockets and took all the money we had, which was only $7.it made me realize that Im really not worth anything on the blackmail market . The night before we had seen a big brawl in the same street with people attacking the cops
Despite that, I had a great time and am ready to go back to see other things we didnt have time to visit.

You're alive!!! I thought maybe you had left us. I look forward to reading more about your travels. Too bad you didn't make it to London, I'll be sure to have a little extra fun while there to make up for you missing out...
