I haven't been home much lately. The Raveonettes show was a blast, probably my favorite show so far this year. That was my 1st time at Spaceland and the venue fit perfectly the band. The audience was a strange mix of hipsters, musicians, music producers, execs and actors--such as Giovanni Ribisi.
I'm now at the LA film festival. The first film I saw was 4, an appealing but rough Russian film, which proved to be unbearable for part of the audience. Its young director was there but I wasn't very happy with his answers to my questions, which seems to prove that his use of symbols was random, rather than having any kind of true meaning.
I also went to a fest party last nigth, which included filmmakers and people from the media -- including Indie. I met a director whose film is showing today and that I might go see. On top of my list for today is the documentary about a member of the New York Dolls.

lacuna coil didn't exactly suck, i'd just say they were the least exciting band that played. i've seen them four times, and they always play the same sets, same kind of interaction with the crowd, and so on. and i don't really like andrea's voice.
but...long live heavy metal
ciao!
