The Cannes film festival has ended and I can finally get some rest - even though we still have a lot of articles to publish. I received yesterday my accreditation for the LA film fest, which will be a lot of fun to cover. Last week was pretty busy and, in addition, I had to deal with a family problem, which turned pretty nasty. It kinda messed me up and the decisions I've had to take were tough. I'm really not happy about it, but there's a time in life when it's time to take a side, even if it means being against everybody - at least I know I'm right since I got the proof I wanted.
On Friday night, I went to see Audioslave at the Wiltern. It was fun but the highlight was undoubtedly Rage's "Killing in the Name of". I don't really wanna talk about the band, because I would lack objectivity. I like Cornell's voice and I was told he's a cool guy, but he's a bit cliched to me. I miss Zach and hearing Rage's material during the show really makes you realize, they were at a higher level than Audioslave will ever be. They can't compare to Velvet Revolver either. But I will keep supporting what the band members are doing.
After the show, I went to meet my friends at the Mayan. That was my 1st time there and I liked it, even though that wasn't my type of music. On Saturday night, I went to see Star Wars (lol) around midnight, so we would avoid the freaks.
On Sunday, I finished taking care of family business stuff and then headed to the pool as it was really hot in Tustin. Tonight I'm gonna watch the DVD of The Great Rock'n Roll Swindle, which I received for review. I'm looking forward to it as I am a Sex Pistols fan.

Mais bon... vu que tu es loin loin loin...
I'm really looking forward to Fischerspooner on Friday night. Should make for a good start to next weekend.
I love Daniel Ash, but I've never seen him solo. Only ever seen him performing with Love & Rockets. Which reminds me of the time I met David J so long ago.
Lately I've been listening to music all over the place. For some reason I relapsed into the Stone Roses recently. Also in heavy rotation: Dresden Dolls, the new NIN, Snow Patrol, Kasabian. I have the new New Order cd, but I've yet to listen to it. How about you? WHat are you listening to these days?
Lynch showing a new film? You're such a tease
