Monday soir
Last Thusday night, I went to see the Decemberist at the Henri Fonda in Hollywood. Even though, I had hardly heard of them before going--my friends had asked me to go with them--I had fun because they are good musicians and pretty original.
On Friday night, my friend wanted us to go for her Bday to that 80's club in Hollywood, just accross the Knitting Factory--I think it's called the Top of the world. It was fun but a bit too teeny for me.
On Saturday, we went to True Tattoo on Cahuenga, then to the Guitar Center where I finally got a guitar--they had that red tag weekend with good bargains. Then we headed to Melrose. Amusingly, while I'm just in the process of reviewing the show Family Business on DVD, we ran into the show's cousin Stevie and the two porn stars at some cheesy store opening. Seeing that there was a couple of guys with DV cameras, we didn't stick around, so that we wouldn't risk to end up in the show looking like big fans
The night ended in Long Beach and Sunday was pretty laid-back.
Oh yeah, I got my ticket for Audioslave at the Wiltern, even though I don't know anybody going yet.
