Soiree d'horreur
I went to Artisan tonight for a press screening of Ju-on, a Japanese horror film opening in 2 weeks. This is a post-Ringu picture which borrows too heavily from Nakata Hideo who is way overrated anyway (there is currently a great deal of snobism about Japanese cinema). I didn't think it was scary at all, except for the last 10mn, but the girl who came with me left before the end saying it was too scary.
The Latin American film festival opens tomorrow and I'll be there, on and off, for the next 10 days. I've decided to skip the red carpet premiere tomorrow--so you see I'm not just a poser
