Just got back from the screening of a great film called Tarnation. More than a documentary, it's the diary of young man shot--in different formats--during a period of almost 20 years. He makes us witness his difficult life, but contrary to Capturing the Friedmans, it's highly experimental and beautiful at the same time. Gus Van Sant produced it, it won at Sundance and LA film fest, and it got shot--and edited only with iMovie--for a budget of $200!
