The best way to extend your weekend is to start doing things on thursday night.
Also, nap extensively.
I saw a couple of high school friends Thursday night. One I hadn't seen in a couple of years. He was looking his age.
I'm blessed in a way that I look much lighter and younger than I really am.
It's always interesting to see how people diverge in their own ways yet retain the original identity that you knew them as.
One of the HS friends has a birthday only two days apart from mine. We tend to have vaguely similar life events. He's going to North Carolina. Ostensibly to escape high housing costs but really to escape other emotional burdens and responsiblities. The similarities continue.
I'm looking into possibly moving to Portland. Lots of internet MLS searches. Tonight I'm going to look into the transit system.
My life is going to "break" in about two months or so. Exactly how, or in what direction remains to be seen. The current routine has gotten pretty stale so it's definitely about time.
Oh yeah, happened to catch some cool people on the tube.
Michael Kinsley on CSPAN, one of the most articulate of the pundits from about 10 years ago. The extraordinary thing about him is his verbal preciseness, and that he doesn't seem to ever blink.
Richard Alpert, aka Ram Daas on PBS.
This was inspirational.
I need to hang out with people that know about or could dig Ram Daas. It would make an improvement.
