for those of you who are just dying to know batman was not very good. it was no sharkboy and lavagirl, but it's still on my list of bad movies i've seen lately.
it was still cheesy, as batman's are bound to be, but then it tried really hard to be scary, dark and serious at the same time, and it was a weird dichotomy.
there was no fun bad guy, the fight sceenes were impossible to follow, and katie holmes has no redeemable qualities.
now this is not technically batman's fault, but the cinerama played the movie way too loud. so loud it was painful. i put my hair over my ears and put up my hood, and i still could barely take it (and i have bad hearing to start with). i have noticed cinerama often has issues with this. yes, loud is cool, but there is a line.

the theater playing the movie too loud is a horrible, horrible thing. it's happened to me a couple times and is no fun at all...
