rambles ahoy!
SPOILERS! (Click to view)
i'm sort of on a diet. except i hate it when people talk about diets, and i definitely don't want to be one of those people. perhaps i can say that i am trying to eat less food? i would like to say that i am eating better food, but that is just not true.
i've been keeping track of what i eat on this site called the daily plate, which was bought out and is actually called 'livestrong' now, but i think that is a lame name so i will continue to call it the daily plate until they complete the rebrand and force me to call it that other thing. i used to use fitday, but the daily plate has an iphone app, so they win.
my original intention was just so see how bad i ate and maybe that would guilt me into eating better. now it has become some competitive game where i try to see how much crap i can have without going over an arbitrary calorie limit. i like to put the food in before i eat it, then there is room for maneuvering.
today for example, i had tea and oatmeal for breakfast (234 calories). for lunch i had a limonata (180 calories) because i am not really a lunch person. or really it is more like i am a work person and then i forget about lunch. i am sure if lunch appeared in my mouth while i was working i would eat it. anyways...
now it is time for dinner. the daily plate says i may have an additional 1249 calories. oh really? may i? how many servings of parmesan cheese would that be? 62.45 (124.9 tsps), but that would be like 300% of my daily allotted sodium. ok what could i eat with the parmesan cheese that doesn't have very much sodium? marshmallows? too much sugar. olives? yes! and it goes on and on like that until i have mathematically calculated my dinner down to the .25 serving of i can't believe it's not butter! with calcium.
it's actually really fun.
