i am so ridiculously addicted to magazines. pretty soon they're not all going to fit in the mailbox. even though i have so many, i really do read them. nothing is more fun then a magazine in the park.
i like books and all, but they take too much concentration when other things are going on. with a magazine if you get distracted you don't have to reread the entire page to figure out what's going on. i actually don't like to read books unless i'm home all by myself. distractions really destroy a good book, and there's no undoing it once it's done.
anyways, here's my list of magazines:
print
surface
city
juxtapoz
cabinet
dwell
blueprint
readymade
domino
the nest
jane
nylon
bust
cosmopolitan
i actually kind of hate surface, but i just can't bring myself to cancel since i already paid. it seemed like a good idea, but it's really just interviews with designers i don't care about. and they don't even show their designs. maybe if i lived in new york and saw these people around it would be more interesting.
cosmo, i don't know what to say about cosmo. i remember reading one when i was like 15 and it was the most awesome thing ever. now that i'm old and actually allowed to read anything i want to i figured i would subscribe. now i don't know if it's because i'm older and have actually had sex, but man cosmo is retarded. they give the worst advice ever! and it's the same crap over and over again every issue. the last straw is the cheap paper. you have millions of subscribers, spring for some decent paper!
