why do people bitch so much about being added to my friends list?

do you people do this in real-life? "hey i noticed you do not call me a friend, and i demand that you refer to me as such immediately."

i think not.




most of the people (something like 90%) on my friends list i have met, and hung out with in person. the others are people that i have talked with extensively through email or aim, or for some reason feel really connected to.

hell, there are even people i *have* met that aren't on my list. just because i don't know them real well.

i'm sorry. maybe i'm weird. but i like people on my list to be actual friends of mine. people i know... like i'd recognize in a crowd, know their first names, they know mine, i know about their lives, where i work, who they date... you know *friend* stuff.

it's not a "people i think are cool" list, or a "interesting people list"... there are sooooooo many of those on this site...




it doesn't mean i don't love you... it just means i don't know you real well! what's wrong with that? please don't yell at me.
