siff is finall over! i saw 55 movies, which is less then i thought i would, but near the end i started to get a little burnt out. that, and work i had been putting off began to loom.
a bicycle blew through a red light and hit my car this morning. even though it was not my fault i am having a serious case of yuppie guilt. i always look for bicyclists before i open my door or pull out, and i drive behind them and let them have the whole lane. now my super-nice-to-bicycles-lady rep is totally shot.
You didn't do a damn thing wrong. I'm glad there are people out there who ride their bikes when they can, but I get seriously peeved at the ones that want it both ways and want to be recognized as street traffic without having to obey the same traffic laws. you should make him pay for your mirror.
You should pursue legal action and get him paying for your damage. If he's going to use vehicle roadways he needs to be mindful of the rules or pay the consequences.
And being from Iowa I did indeed have a fixed gear. I had handbrakes though.

There are still a very few people left who read the manual. My fathr, for one, and other folks who care for a bit of the familiar when making the jump to the new.
It was quite a good book. It seems M. Gaiman has learned to leave the door open for sequels quite well. And yet it ended just so all the same.
i'm sort of on a diet. except i hate it when people talk about diets, and i definitely don't want to be one of those people. perhaps i can say that i am trying to eat less food? i would like to say that i am eating better food, but that is just not true.
