Nazi rape huh? God people disgust me...
On to more pleasant things...
I made a tasty stuffed pork tenderloin for supper the other day. Jody suggested I take pictures and tell you all about it but sadly none of them turned out. The pork, however, did. It was stuffed with yellow peppers, onion and some wonderful goat cheese that Jody brought me from Kelowna. *drool*
Stephen Colbert's book makes me chuckle.
I really wish the library would hurry up and get the books I put on hold for me. I'm running out of things to read. I have 7 shows left at work and I'll need three or four more books just to get through them.
The search for a new job isn't going well so far. I'll be out most of this week putting in applications. I have a horrible sense of dread about the whole situation. I'm wondering what unfortunate job I'll end up with for now and how long it will be until I have another breakdown and flee.
Well... this was supposed to be less depressing than the last entry. Sorry guys.

And good luck with the job hunting, I'm in a very similar boat. WIthout a pay stub or a bill in my name, I can't even get a library card because I can't prove I live here now...
Here's my $.02:
What we are offended by basically boils down to our own personal beliefs and experiences. I wholly empathize w/anyone who is offended by the set because of their own experiences w/rape, and have every right to voice your opinion as such. However, how do you feel about sets such as Al - Habit, Manko - Passion Play, and Mia - Crucify? I'm not religious in any sense, so I have no personal stake in this, but while this set offends you and others who have been affected directly or indirectly by rape, what would you say to those that feel the aforementioned sets are nothing more than blatant sacriliege and making a mockery of their belief in "God" or "Jesus" via religious iconography, in the name of "art?" Would you say the same thing that supporters of Nana's set are saying to those against it?
Searching for the tag "controversial" yielded over 30 sets total. Will we know why people thought any of those sets were controversial enough to tag them as such? Probably not. As much as we can have an understanding to others and the things they've experienced in their own lives, everyone has their own opinion of what is "controversial" to the point that arguing over it, while sometimes necessary and good for opening dialogue, will often get us nowhere, as it will usually boil down to pointing fingers @each other saying "How can you support that?" Whether it's sets, books, movies, music, or politics, that's what happens more often than not. I've spent enough time browsing the CE boards (Bitch_PhD's stories especially) to see it for myself. That's why I usually stay out of it, unless it's a topic of discussion I feel strongly enough to comment about.
Like I said, I have no opinion one way or the other about the set itself. But I thought I'd just share my thoughts over the situation as a whole.
