According to our information the blast occured sometimes during the early hours of June 25th as the city lay sleeping. The blast was clearly visible from space, as reported by a multinational sampling of satellites in high earth orbit, and was measured by seismographs, registering as a six point two on the richter scale, and continuing for some time.
At this point scientists are confused as to the exact cause and nature of the blast, but say that whatever happened was probably fairly exciting.
Fears that the fallout will contaminate downwind watersheds are as yet unfounded, but here's to hoping.
The Killer Robot Program has reached the design phase, and with a little luck we'll have the first mockups of the exo-skeleton by next weekend.
The laser eyes, ray cannon, high tech robotic sound effects, and other spiffy electronic goodies will have to wait a while. Firstly, we need someone who can make, them, secondly we need the robot body so we know where to stick the ray cannons.
