Yesterday my little brother (age 10) had his entire class over for an end of the year graduation sleep over party thing. This was the same day that I was going out hunting for Water Nymphs and Naiads with my friend, so when I got back I was cornered by about a dozen ten year old girls, who interogated me relentlessly as to what I was really looking for, because I couldn't possibly be looking for mythical creatures, because they don't exist. I was also questioned about my cloak, my sword, my surcoat, my headscarf, etc. etc. etc.
Ten year old girls are inquisitive and skeptical creatures.
Me - "We're going to look for mythical creatures, like unicorns and water sprites and stuff."
10 year old girl - "Unicorns don't exist, what are you really doing?"
Me (Sad, because a ten year old girl just told me that unicorns aren'y real) "I'm really going to look for mythological creatures. Seriously. I'm not joshing."
Eitherway, it was an interesting encounter.
