I have a lot to tell you so I will bullet point it and you can skip the bits you don't want to read!
* FIRST THINGS FIRST WE MOVED HOUSE.
So we got told on Monday 8th January that we would be moving on the Saturday. We had less than a week to pack and I had no days off so that was not fun at all, I really don't know how we did it. Matt had the Saturday off work and moved all our stuff with some help from a few friends then I helped after work. I stayed up really late unpacking some stuff and getting the kitchen set up!! Then I had work on the Sunday too. It was very exciting but incredibly tiring!
So we had to unpack as much as we could over the next few days because we had our tattoo convention in Green Bay near Chicago to go to the Wednesday after! We had to unpack so that we could find all the stuff to pack!! Also alwasbeingblue was going to be staying in our house and looking after the doggies so we had to leave it in some sort of order for her to live in.
I am very pleased with the house but I wish we could have had some time there to settle in before having to shoot off again!
* THE FUN AND ADVENTURES OF GETTING TO GREEN BAY!!
Ok, we were very tired from all the moving and we had stayed up stupidly late to sort stuff out in the house and for the convention then we had to get up at 4 in the morning to drive to heathrow for the flight. I don't even remember the alarm going off but it must have done and I must have turned it off and gone back to sleep! I was dreaming that someone was saying to me "oooh you are going to be in so much trouble, matt is going to be so mad!" but I didn't know what I had done! Slept through the alarm, that's what!!!
But it was ok, we had plenty of time and we had done the trip so many times before so it should have been ok, except that about 30 miles out of Birmingham and the car overheated, we had to call the AA! It was still dark and hammering it down with rain and after over an hour of waiting the AA man said there was no way of fixing it at the roadside we had to go to a garage and there were none open! There was no way we could have got the flight so the AA man (who was so helpful, above and beyond the call of duty) took us to the local train station so we could get to London and he took the car home where it is still waiting to be fixed. In all the stress we left the camera in the car so we had to borrow a friends to get a few snaps but we didn't get as many as we would have liked.
After all of that the convention was amazing, my work went down really well there and I could have booked myself up 3 times over!
Here are some tattoos I did at Green Bay
This is the guy with the Buddha tattoo, please message me because I can't remember your SG member name sorry I was very jet lagged! It was lovely to meet you
I also met the lovely heartless77, I don't have any pics but you should all go check out his work, he is an amazing tattooist
Kat Von Dee was working at the show too and I actually felt really sorry for her. She had been bombarded with autographs all weekend, the crowds were unbelievable then when she came to the after show party she was just being photographed all the time. She looked really shy and uncomfortable and it's such a shame that she wasn't just left to relax and hang out with everyone. She ended up leaving after about 10 minutes! I would have done the same if I was her.
* RIGHT NOW I AM IN WINNIPEG, CANADA AND ITS BLOODY COLD!
We only just got in to Canada, we got interviewed and searched because we had tattoo equipment from the USA! But of course I am not working here I am just getting tattooed by Kurt Wiscombe on wednesday, he is doing something on the outside calf that ymonster had done some work on. Oh I can't wait, I am a bit nervous, its going to be a whole day! I am not sure what he is planning on doing, he said maybe something that plays on the bloody flowers that ymonster is going to put under the geishas head.
I think the security officers found it hard to believe that someone would go that far for a tattoo!
WHAT ELSE HAS BEEN HAPPENING?
* I GOT MY NECK TATTOO BY XED AND I AM SO IN LOVE WITH IT!
I don't have a good picture of it for you yet, I will do that when I get home. It was such a great experience to have it handpoked and xed is amazing, I would highly recommend anyone to get tattooed by him. It was the least painful tattoo I have had.
* GOING TO THE MILAN TATTOO CONVENTION
So we have about two weeks when we get back to settle into the new house before we shoot off to the Milan convention! I am really looking forward to that but I would love to have longer at home. Oh well.
That's all for now, I will update with proper pics of my neck and my new leg tattoo soon,
Take care
