So I developed a theory at work the other night. Thing about my job is, it doesn't require a lot of active participation most of the time, and it runs me down so my mind wanders down weird paths...So my theory, and it was much more fleshed out when I had it then, was that we don't exist in the here and now. What we perceive as the present is actually just a little - ever so slightly- behind what IS going on. That would explain those times we react faster than we can explain. The time is lost because our consciousness is processing. When we don't have time to process we just react. This may also explain deja vu, or some esp. You already know b/c you're processing a lil quicker, but you're not in the future...I haven't looked, but I'm sure someone somewhere has already explained this. I just arrived on my own...
