It has been a mixed bag the last couple of weeks. The winter sads have kicked in full force. There are only so many movies and nights out one can have by themselves before things head south. I know I am fortunate that I have the ability and means to keep busy, but it can be hard to see the silver lining sometimes.

Surprisingly, I spent most of my weekend at home watching football; the rain contributed, or at least that's what I am telling myself since I am not a huge football fan like that. However, before all of that, on Friday I went to a screening of Werewolves Within. It was in support of Vidiots, a video rental store here in LA. I met people from...

Last night I went to the Alter Ego '24 show in Anaheim. The sets were kept short to help minimize boredom. Years ago, I heard Beck said something true when describing the seeming indifferent vibe from the crowd at these events, "Everyone is there to see someone else." I can confirm that was the case last night. LA area crowds are tough because we see...

The year started in somber fashion as I went to the Auschwitz exhibit at the Reagan Library. Seeing the things from the concentration camp was angering, saddening, and bewildering all at once. Someone found the stuff from the final iteration of the park. The park had original work from artists such as Kieth Haring, Salvador Dali, and the ferris wheel

I got a picture with Jon Heder and Efren Ramirez from Napoleon Dynamite; I also got one with Erin Moriarty and Karen Fukuhara from The Boys. I did more

My adventure today took me to The LA Auto Show at the convention center. Depsite going every year, I am not much of a car guy. Seeing the the exotic cars, and the ones from the Fast and Furious movies was pretty cool.
As an added bonus, I ran into the comedian, Bill Burr, while I was walking around!

Last night I ended up back at the Wiltern Theater, this time to see the British rock duo, Royal Blood. I have seen them before as an opener or in a festival setting, but, as best as I can recall, this was my first time seeing them headline.

So, I gave Imaginarium SoCal a visit over the weekend. It was an interesting installation. It had a sort of dragons and faeries sort of theme.
There was a circus part too. It was a nice added bonus.
