It is has been an odd time for me since the Tool show on Valentine's Day. I have been trying to stay home more since being out doesn't seem to be doing anything for me other than cost me money. I think the show set the tailspin in motion since it was a date night for a lot of people there. A month later, I only vaguely remember the concert for a band I had wanted to see for years.
Around my wondering if this is all there is, I did go to an advanced screening for the movie, Love Lies Bleeding. Kristen Stewart is the lead actress and hearing her try to explain anything was of derision. The woman stuggled to formulate coherent sentences and her cavalier attitude to everything put me off. The film itself wasn't terribly memorable.
Other than the film screening, the only other thing I can recall doing was going to see Kingfish Ingram, a blue artist from Mississippi. The big man gave a good performance. The highlights for me were when he channeled a bit of Jimi Hendrix by playing with his teeth and closing the show with the song, Hey Joe.
I am counting down the days until baseball season starts. That way my days are filled by my preferred activity.
