It has been a busy month of July so far. My Jeep was at the dealership for three weeks getting fixed. It turned out a needed a new engine. Since my Jeep is still under warranty I got blessed with a new one for free! No charge for any of it! Gracias por Dios!🙏 Since I got my wheels back I have been making up for lost time.
First was a trip down to San Diego to watch my Mets lose to the San Diego Padres.
The next day meant a morning visit to the Jean-Michel Basquiat exhibit in downtown LA. His art has grown on me through the years.
I drove over to Beverly Hills to the Mr. Brainwash exhibit. That place is wild, but it all part of the design.
Last Friday went to Newport Beach and then to Anaheim to watch the Angels, or more specifically Shohei Ohtani. I finally got to see him pitch. I had seen him in games where he was just batting, but this time he was doing both. It is crazy to think how hard that is to do.
Last Saturday, I checked out Dinos Alive. The displays were cool, but the screaming kids made it a bit tough. Kids are going to be kids, but their parents have to rein them in a bit.
I went and stopped by BrickFest in Long Beach after finishing with the dinosaurs. It wasn't the biggest room I have seen, but it was cool to see what people can come up with using Lego bricks.
Sunday meant another trip to Anaheim; this time to see Bay Area rapper, Larry June, at The House of Blues. It was a different show than I expected because there was a lot more energy in the show than one would get from the vibe of his music.
There has been quite a bit of adventure these last couple of weeks. Sleep comes sometimes.
