I went to the Comic Con in L.A. again this year. I mainly go to support an old friend of mine as he promotes his independent comic book. It is called Immortal Era. He told me he spoke to a talent scout from a movie studio and has a follow up call next week. I hope it goes well for him.
Seeing the people dressed up is always interesting. I am not into comics, so a lot of it is lost on me, but I don't knock someone else's thing. The guy in the Falcon outfit was pretty good. The wings went in and out like on the show.
I saw a panel for the show The Boys. It is nice to hear Karen Fukuhara finally getting to talk. The behind the scenes anecdotes were the best part.
I can see my crappy picture taking skills were on display, since the one thing in focus was the back of the guy's head. 😑 I went to see a panel for an independent movie called Herd. It is about the battle of a pair of militia groups within the confines of a zombie outbreak. All of the cast there was nice.
The highlight was talking baseball with the lead actress Ellen Adair after the panel. Having an intelligent baseball conversation is never a disappointment.
