Getting ready for work this morning has me thinking about how on one hand I am fortunate to have the means and ability to be able to get out and explore, and on the other it would be great to be experiencing things with someone who is invested in me and not just enjoying the activity. Having said that, I went to the Getty Museum for the first time since high school. It was hot, but cost effective and the art cool to see. I don't get swept up in what I am seeing, but I can appreciate the talent involved in making it.
The things that stuck out to me was the fact humans were highly talented artists hundreds of years ago and it never ceases to amuse me to see European Jesus. The version of Jesus with the flowing locks is counter to how he is described in the Bible, but one heck of a retcon folks were into even back in the day. 🤷♂️
