Fair warning this is a long one.
This weekend was a roller coaster of emotions. The funeral services for my friend went about as well as can be expected. "Wow! What happened to you? How about you push yourself away from the table once in awhile?". That was the first thing out of the mouth of my friend's father whom I hadn't seen in over 20 years because he lives in Pittsburgh, PA. That was a shock and made an already rough experience harder. He texted me to apologize, but there is no taking that back. I did reconnect with a guy who lives in Seattle, WA. I left the luncheon after the service pretty quickly. The crack about my appearance and knowing the family of my friend's wife made the deal a gathering of Trump supporters meant it wasn't the place for me. I can only be a fly in the milk for so long.
After the luncheon I wanted to switch gears. I went to the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. It just opened last week.
They the ruby slippers from The Wizard of Oz.
The creature from The Shape of Water was cool to see.
C-3PO was pretty neat as well.
I will have to go back because it was near closing when I was there, so I had to rush it towards the end.
